Maybe it's because they make us feel old and creeky! I feel like King Tut's mummy sometimes. At least I don't look like it! ;) I've found this adventure of my blog to be very rewarding. What I have isn't as continuous as yours, but I know that when gout kicks in 3-4 times a year, I'm in tears. It's called old man's disease, but I've had it since I was 12.
