Here is something you should ask:
What are the side effects of the treatment?
Are the side effects short or long term?

The doctor might give you a cocktail of medicines to take. If, that is the case ask "Is there one medicine I can slowly come off of?" I came off of steroids. But, am on a high dose at the moment.

i hope this helps.

Stephen,

If you can think of any other questions that would be good for a person to ask their Rheumatologist, please let me know!

Thanks again

My biggest question that I was asking and could not be answered is
"Why Me".

You have put a good set of questions together for the new to this Disease.
I could have done with those as I was still numb from being told that I had RA when my first visit to the Rheumatologist came due.
